It’s time for me to be in bed but I thought I should tell Matt and Tim and their families thank you for the enjoyable day and the nice presents. And with your help, I did manage to get all the pictures off my camera and onto my computer.
Mom and I got home without incident. And after getting something to eat and a little procrastination, we decided to open the presents we had wrapped for ourselves. Although at first I think Mom wanted to put it off until tomorrow and have a second day of Christmas, she gave me the choice and I just couldn’t wait. I would give you a list of all the “presents” but it would be quite a lengthy list - essentially anything we bought during December. We were fittingly surprised.
And just a follow up on the Crazy Quilt series: I’m putting together a small trunk with a crazy quilt, a cinnamon bear, and a silver star as an under-the-tree Christmas decoration for each of the four families. That should be to you by Three Kings Day.
Love to all.
Look to this day!
For it is life, the very life of life.
For yesterday is but a dream.
And tomorrow is only a vision.
But today well lived makes
every yesterday a dream of happiness
and every tomorrow a vision of hope.
Look well, therefore, to this day!
Such is the salutation of the dawn.
For it is life, the very life of life.
For yesterday is but a dream.
And tomorrow is only a vision.
But today well lived makes
every yesterday a dream of happiness
and every tomorrow a vision of hope.
Look well, therefore, to this day!
Such is the salutation of the dawn.

So, I listened to the crazy quilt dragon and read all the posts and have to say I love the way you write. We had a quiet Christmas day with boys Alex was pre-occupied with packing and reading his uniform for the funeral trip to Conn. He got all his stuff together and left here about 8. He had to drive to Alexandria at 4am. They left early and will be back on Monday.I think he has gone to more funerals than I have. Bill is working on a TSP and Mo is cleaning his room. All the things you sent were a big hit. Mo had to put his sock on right away and was in love with them Alex and Bill went through the Book on Italy and Bill said that it was the best book he had ever seen on traveling in Italy.
I hung the roosters on the tree loved them. Bill started the book in the reading room after breakfast. I love you and am thankful for you and mom.
